Giving Old Technology a New Life

Giving Old Technology a New Life

AKJ are proud to be associated the worthy charity Computer Aid International. As a business at the cutting edge of technology, our systems need to keep up with the latest advances in development and hardware. So what happens to old technology? There are options for cleaning machines and having them properly destroyed. But that seemed a waste to us. So we decided to contact Computer Aid International, who take that waste and turn it into opportunities.

“Just because we, as a business, have to keep up with new technology doesn’t mean our old technology should go to waste.”

Through Computer Aid International we get our old machines professionally cleaned and send our surplus computer equipment to people that can benefit from learning new skills which can then help them to open doors that may not have otherwise been available to them.

Computer Aid International provides only the highest-quality, professionally refurbished computers for reuse in education, health and not-for-profit organisations in developing countries. Computer Aid has shipped over 130,000 PCs to where they are most needed in more than 100 countries.

If you would like to find out how you can donate your surplus computer equipment to a better cause than your storage facility visit www.computeraid.org.
