Telephony Leaps Forward with Quantum Physics
A Yorkshire based company, Peratech, have created a technology that allows faster scrolling, for example down a long list or a webpage, as more pressure is applied to the keypad or screen.
This technology has already been applied to some mobile handsets and looks set to continue as their approach allows for the technology to be used in slim build handsets, as the particles involved are the width of a human hair.
Named QTC after ‘Quantum Tunnelling Composite’, the technology relies on pressure to allow for a smooth increase in the current flowing through the particles. More information can be found here.
