AKJ WLR3 Update January 2009

WLR3 Business As Usual

Aurora Kendrick James have invested in our in-house Advanced Technology Group to develop an integrated WLR3 gateway to the Openreach ordering system. The outcome is a user friendly and is fully integrated interface into the AKJ Affinity billing platform offered without additional ongoing charges to our existing contracted customers.

We now have just over 4000 lines in WLR3 and are now officially in Business as Usual (BAU) status.

This means that we can now put CPs directly into Live status without going through the Functional Testing phase.

Our Development team is now currently concentrating on EMP1000 for the following products:

  • ISDN30 which will be released in the Spring of 2009
  • ISDN2 which will be released in the Summer of 2009

Going Forward

After the current round of industry consultation, it is expected that the design specification release EMP1100 planned for late July 2009 will be acknowledged as delivering parity or enhanced functionality via WLR3 versus  WLR2.

We are now inviting customers to register interest in transferring to WLR3 for roll out later this year. Please either speak to your account manager or call us on 01634 673 800.
